When reading a chest x ray, first look from an anatomic perspective (look at bones, soft tissues, abdomen, heart, lungs (front door) and second look from a diagnostic perspective with easy to miss findings (free air, PTX, mass, hard to find infiltrates, pneumomediastinum.
