Just a quick tip for the foreign body removal discussion. If you know the foreign body is glass, dripping fluorescein into the wound and illuminating with the Wood's Lamp lights up the glass for easy extraction. This tip was taught to me by an instructor at Saint Louis University in my APRN program. I sure wish I had this tip in the pre-seatbelt years as an ER nurse picking glass for hours from people's foreheads! Just wanted to share :-)
