Most cases of AGE in children are self-limited illness that can be managed with supportive care. Antiemetics facilitate oral rehydration. Treat more severe cases with IV fluid rehydration. Do not empirically treat suspected bacterial diarrhea with antibiotics given risk of HUS with certain strains of E Coli
