Vaginitis is a general term to describe inflammation of the vaginal area. The most common causes of vaginitis are bacterial vaginosis, candida vulvovaginitis, and trichomoniasis. Other causes include vaginal atrophy/atrophic vaginitis, cervicitis, foreign body, irritants and allergens, and several rarer systemic medical disorders. Dr.Spangler discusses recent CDC guidelines with OB/GYN Dr.Judy Wei to bring you clinical treatment updates for vaginitis management.
