Kids commonly present with syncope however there are limited evidence based guidelines for workup and treatment of syncope. Most data is extrapolated from adult studies. However there are clear distinctions between life-threatening causes and benign causes of syncope and it is prudent for clinicians to recognize the features of both. Here Sol and Dee Bonney discuss the etiologies of syncope most common in children.
