Chris -

This was an interesting and helpful segment. I think it is important though to actually define what is meant by "wandering" in dementia. Far too often I feel like especially when we are talking about inpatients that any desire to be out of bed and go for a walk by someone with any degree of cognitive impairment ends up being characterized as "wandering."

Or similarly for older people living in the community with mild cognitive impairment who still enjoy going for walks on their own (and always finding their way home without difficulty!), I have seen this characterized as "wandering" when really it is quite different than the wandering that needs more immediate attention.
