Rebecca O., Mrs. -

With Provera, I was advised by GYN to give patient 10 mg po daily for 7 days or abnormal uterine bleeding. She is s/p tubal ligation (complete removal of tubes). To "cycle" her with this med, is it just a one time dose or do you have patient do this monthly?

Neda F., MD -

Hi Rebecca! Here's what Dr. Jessica Pescatore wrote back: "Just a one-time dose. It’s used to bring on 'withdrawal bleed'. Not used monthly." We hope this helps! -- Neda
