After a run-in period of subcutaneous semaglutide, patients who continued semaglutide experienced continued weight loss in contrast to placebo where weight was regained.

Hi fellas. There is JAMA paywall to access the full article or I would find out myself, but what was the route of the placebo used? Did they also use SQ injection for the placebo? If not, it isn't hard to assume some unblinding happened. Did they do an unblinding analysis? Thanks for choosing cool articles. Love the segment!

Thanks so much for writing in, David! Here is Steve's response: "Thanks for listening! The placebo group in this study received once-weekly subcutaneous injection of placebo - so it appeared identical to the semaglutide intervention arm. This prevented unblinding as soon as folks were randomized."
